Personal finance is generally not taught in school nor do many parents have the knowledge or interest in financial matters to pass on to their children. Some conventional wisdom is nothing more than a set of myths that result in suboptimal financial decisions that can set a person back or prevent them from achieving eventual financial independance. All of this results in a large portion of society having an information and knowledge disadvantage that often translates to an economic disadvantage causing lower wealth, less savings, prolonged dependance on income from work, more stress, and fewer options to live a life on your own terms.
This section of the blog (called Financial Freedom) focuses on personal finance and other educational posts directly or indirectly relevant to creating a framework of knowledge that can enable more informed financial decisions.
